Time log of the happenings in the Universe, from the Big Bang beginning to the future ending. To cover a wide range in time, a 'logarithmic clock' is used. After each tick N, the Universe is 10 times older than the previous one.Tick range: N=log(time)= -60 to -35 N Event ---- ------------------------------------------------------ ---- ------------------------------------------------------
- -infinity : Big Bang - normal expansion starts.
- -51 : Planck time (quantum unit of time)
- -50.5 : Universe is cooling, now at a temperature of T=1032 Kelvin
- -50 : Creation of particles and fields - "Quark Era" starts
- -44 : Inflation starts - normal expansion on hold
- -42.5 : Universe temperature is at T=1023 Kelvin
- -42 : Microscopic fluctuations
- -39 : Inflation stops - normal expansion resumes
