URSI GASS 2032

In August 2026, the URSI Council voted to award the 2032 URSI General Assembly and Scientific Symposium to Canada under the responsibility of CNC-URSI.

URSI GASS 2032 will be held at the Rogers Centre in Ottawa from 21-28 August 2032. Prof. David Michelson will serve as General Chair.

Formed in 1919 and currently comprising forty-four member states, the International Union of Radio Science is one of the founding scientific unions of the International Science Council. Its mission is to promote and support international cooperation in scientific research involving electromagnetic fields and waves.

Formed in 1952, the Canadian National Committee of the International Union of Radio Science (CNC-URSI) promotes and supports Canadian participation in international scientific research involving electromagnetic fields and waves including URSI commissions, committees, and conferences.

The National Research Council of Canada serves as the adhering member of URSI for Canada and appoints the members of the Canadian National Committee of URSI.
